Hamakkoko Children's Clinic opened in April 2023 and will soon celebrate its third year. I am Masaaki Mochizuki, the clinic director. Through my career at children's specialist hospitals — spanning advanced emergency pediatrics to neonatal medicine — I became convinced that a clinic's most important role is rapid detection of abnormalities and acting as a bridge to specialist care at the right moment.

Thanks to the trust so many families have placed in us, the clinic continues to grow. In 2025 we opened a dedicated waiting room ("Hanare") for non-infectious patients, making visits more comfortable for everyone. Beyond the environment, our core belief is not simply treating today's illness, but walking alongside each child's long-term healthy development.

We offer head-shape consultations (over 300 children seen since February 2025), a psychology clinic opened in summer 2025, and from January 2026 developmental assessments using the revised Kyoto Scale of Psychological Development (ages 18 months to under 5). Our concept — "from newborns to high schoolers" — is realized through this comprehensive, personalized care.
